Castor Oil is a commodity chemical or ‘building block’ raw material used in many manufacturing processes. Celeritas Chemicals is able to provide a value added benefit for those customers who want this material in a quality form that is logistically feasible.
Celeritas Chemicals plays a dominant role in this market, because it is able to integrate various components used in producing castor oil to deliver the final product in bulk quantities. A forward and backward integration has enabled Celeritas to maintain what is needed to deliver this product to key customers efficiently. We can deliver it effectively, because we have the product manufacturing capability as well as the infrastructure to store, package and deliver the product on a just in time basis.
Castor oil and its derivatives also have major applications in the manufacturing of soaps, coatings, paints, dyes, inks, cold resistant plastics, nylon, waxes and polishes, pharmaceuticals and perfumes. Even its residue can be used as fertilizer and as cattle feed. Obtained from the castor bean or preferably castor seed, Castor oil is an extremely versatile and unique oil in its composition. It is derived after cold-pressing the seeds with content of the seeds varying 20% to 50%. The first pressing of the castor bean or seed yields medicinal Castor oil which is used as a purgative and laxative. The second pressing oil is used as a lubricant for machinery, dressing of genuine leather, brake fluids, softening agent in making artificial leather, and in paints and plastics.
We deal with the following types of Castor Oils:
Pale Pressed Castor Oil
#1 Castor Oil (first special grade castor oil)
Hydrogenated Castor Oil (HCO)
Hydroxy Stearic Acid (HSA)
